DTF Printing Technology

DTF (Direct to Film) printing technology is a method used to print designs onto fabric and other materials. It involves printing a design onto a special film, applying an adhesive powder, and then transferring the design onto a garment using a heat press.

How DTF Printing Works:

1. Print on Film: A design is printed onto a special PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) film using a DTF printer with water-based pigment inks.
2. Apply Adhesive Powder: A special hot melt adhesive powder is sprinkled over the printed design while the ink is still wet.
3. Curing: The film is placed in a curing oven or under a heat press to melt and activate the adhesive powder.
4. Transfer to Fabric: The film is placed onto the fabric (or other material) and pressed with heat and pressure.
5. Peel the Film: After cooling, the film is peeled off, leaving a vibrant and durable print.

Why DTF Printing is Cool:

• Works on Various Fabrics: Unlike DTG (Direct to Garment), which works best on cotton, DTF works on polyester, nylon, denim, leather, and even wood.
• No Pretreatment Required: Unlike DTG, which requires pretreatment for dark fabrics, DTF doesn't need extra preparation.
• Durability: DTF prints are highly durable, resistant to washing, and maintain their colors well.
• Soft Feel: The prints are flexible and soft compared to traditional heat transfer vinyl.
• More Vibrant Colors: DTF prints can achieve a wide color range, making them more vibrant than some other printing methods.
